DUI Attorney Allentown
Serving Bucks, Montgomery, Lehigh, Northampton and Philadelphia Counties
Defending Your Rights and Freedom
You have been arrested for DUI in Allentown or Lehigh County. What happens now? If this is your first DUI arrest and your case is handled properly, you may be able to get Accelerated Rehabilitative Disposition and avoid jail, though your driver’s license will be suspended. If you have prior DUI convictions however, you face the prospect of significant penalties, including a jail sentence.
Even the most straightforward DUI case has complexities, and you can benefit from representation by an experienced defense attorney. In fact, there may be factual and legal issues that could enable you to obtain a dismissal of the charge entirely or reduction to a non alcohol driving offense.
Allentown DUI Lawyer with Experience You Can Depend On
Applebaum & Associates has extensive experience in all types of DUI cases, including those involving people arrested for the first time, people with prior DUI convictions and commercial drivers charged with DUI. The founder of our law firm, Michael H. Applebaum, has been defending people charged with crimes in eastern Pennsylvania for more than four decades. Respected by prosecutors and judges, Allentown DUI lawyer Mr. Applebaum can put his experience, knowledge and reputation to work for you.
You Have 30 Days to Request a DUI DOT Hearing
Your driver’s license will be automatically suspended for 12 months, unless you request a hearing with the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation within 30 days from the date of your arrest. Our law firm can represent you in this hearing in an attempt to prevent the suspension of your license. We can also use this hearing to get the police to commit to certain facts that could benefit your defense effort. If we cannot prevent the suspension of your license, we will seek to obtain an occupational limited license that allows you to drive for certain purposes.
